Thinking and Belief
An intimate Dharma talk with Tibetan Meditation Master Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche

From wandering faith to endless doubt, all beings automatically and adamantly believe in their own thinking -- blindly professing beliefs in different religions, philosophies, politics, and cultural ideologies. Without understanding how thinking works, beings hold on to these beliefs whose contents constantly change, evolve, and decline. Knowing with certainty what is thinking, mind, and being, we no longer build sand castles of false hopes and fears at the edge of the seas of change.

The Nature of Mind is True Happiness
An intimate Dharma talk with Tibetan meditation master Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche

Our thinking has a natural tendency to avoid suffering and seek happiness. If this natural tendency becomes vast and compassionate, it transforms into Bodhicitta, the mind of enlightenment. Tonight Khenpo Choga will address such fundamental life questions as, "Who am I?", "What is the nature of mind?" and introduce us to methods through which we can find true happiness in this very lifetime. In addition, Khenpo Choga will lead us in Buddhist chanting and meditation practices.

Uncovering the Essence of the 37-Practices of a Bodhisattva

The 37-Practices of a Bodhisattva text was written in Tibetan by Ngolchu Thogme Rinpoche (1295-1369) on the Mahayana practice of following the path of a Bodhisattva and developing Bodhicitta in our heart and mind. We have the great opportunity to review these essential teachings and instructions with Khenpo Choga Rinpoche.

The evening will begin with Preliminary and Bodhicitta Practices. Khenpo Choga Rinpoche will then provide brief commentary on the essence of the 37-Practices as translated in the Buddha Path Practice. For those attending ongoing teachings on the 37-Practices, this will provide a wonderful opportunity to gain understandings from a Dzogchen Master. We will have the opportunity to raise questions and clarify difficult portions of the verses.
