Oregon | The 2012 Dzogchen Winter Retreat and The Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation is excited to announce that this year's Dzogchen Winter Retreat will take place at the Dzogchen Retreat Center in Western Oregon. This year's retreat will be focused on the editing and practices of the 3rd edition of The Buddha Path by Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. By participating in the completion of this landmark practice text, you'll be helping countless beings for all time. The Buddha Path is a concise summary of all of Buddha's teachings in English. The second edition, first printed in 2004, includes Sutrayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana views and practices. It has been translated into several languages including Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. Dzogchen is often translated as “the great perfection,” but can also be translated as, “the great inclusion,” meaning that the Dzogchen tradition recognizes the necessity for perpetuating all of Buddha Shakyamuni's teachings. The 3rd Edition has been under development since the 2nd edition was released and includes many profound additions to make this text even more comprehensive than before. The two-week retreat will start at 3 pm on Tuesday, January 3rd and will conclude Wednesday, January 18th at 3 pm. There is an option to come for the first week only. We look forward to your participation! Contact |
