Dzogchen Retreat Center, Oregon | 2013 SAGA DAWA DUCHEN RETREAT CELEBRATIONJoin us for a special event commemorating Saga Dawa Duchen and the 6th Anniversary of Dzogchen Retreat Center, USA. May 10 to June 8 is Saga Dawa, the fourth lunar month and the holiest time of the Tibetan Buddhist Year. This precious time culminates in the observation of Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment and parinirvana on the 15th Lunar Day known as Saga Dawa Duchen. In the western calendar, Saga Dawa Duchen occurs on Saturday, May 25, 2013. On this auspicious day, the power of positive and negative intentions and actions increases one billion (1,000,000,000) times or more. With this in mind, Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation would like to invite all sangha for a special gathering and offering ceremony to commemorate Buddha Shakyamuni’s Enlightenment and Parinirvana and the 6th anniversary of The Dzogchen Retreat Center. This ceremony will be a precious time for Sangha to get together and engage in virtuous Dharma activities, especially making offerings. Saga Dawa Duchen Retreat Activities Schedule Friday, May 24 Saturday, May 25 Sunday, May 26 FEE: $100 This fee includes the Dzogchen Retreat Center meals & accommodation fees with $40 allocated to ceremony and celebration offerings. Offerings Everyone is highly encouraged to bring additional offerings and to make their own virtuous aspirations at this time.
