Register for the 2013
Urban Winter Retreat in Las Vegas
Wednesday, January 2 through Monday, January 7, 2013
Taught by Upasaka Bodhisattva Orgyen Zangpo
Registration is now open for the 10th Annual Dzogchen Winter Retreat under the guidance of His Holiness Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche and taught by Orgyen Zangpo (Kunzang). The retreat, hosted by Dzogchen Bodhi Temple of Las Vegas, will be held at a beautiful urban retreat conveniently located close to the airport. The teachings will encompass the pith instructions found in The Buddha Path. These profound methods help one to eradicate negative thinking, and increase positive thinking through the understanding, experiencing, and realizing of one’s own nature, which is true happiness, or vast awakening.
Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche has declared 2013 the Year of Bodhicitta, and in keeping with this, Orgyen Zangpo will build this retreat as a crescendo of Bodhicitta for all involved. He will also teach on the Seven Relationship Unities, the Four Accumulations of the Twelve Wisdoms, and Buddhist Refuge. He will share some penetrating insights into the 2nd and 3rd editions of The Buddha Path as well. If requested, and time permitting, he will consider offering Refuge Vows and Bodhicitta Vows.
This urban retreat has been made very affordable to make it easier for everyone to attend. Graduates of prior Dzogchen Lineage retreats are eligible for significant discounts. Visit the registration site for details.

About the Teacher
American-born Upasaka Bodhisattva Orgyen Zangpo (Kunzang) has studied and practiced Buddhism since the age of seventeen. His journey began with a thorough investigation of the Japanese Soto Zen meditation tradition over the course of several years. Desiring to integrate the benefits of his practice of Buddhism with the demands of modern life, he pursued an education in Religious Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the late '80s. In the following decade he broadened his studies to include other lineages of Indian and Tibetan Buddhism while living as a lay practitioner.
In 2003, Orgyen Zangpo had the good fortune to meet his root teacher, Great Perfection of Wisdom Lineage Holder, Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. Since that time he has devoted his practice to the vast and profound teachings of the Dzogchen Lineage.

He has received extensive Dharma teacher training during numerous Buddhists retreats and extended Dzogchen Lineage Internships, both as a student and as Retreat Director. Orgyen Zangpo has also served as the guiding Dharma tutor of the Dzogchen Dharma Center of Eugene, Oregon. He is authorized by Khenpo Choga Rinpoche as a Dharma Teacher of The Buddha Path and has taught the fundamental principles of Buddhism in the United States and Asia.
Orgyen Zangpo is recognized for his clear and direct teaching style with an emphasis on making the Dharma accessible and practical for modern students. He has dedicated his life to preserving and propagating the authentic teachings of the Buddha for the benefit of all beings.
