Teaching and Training on Madhyamika
Tibetan Buddhist Master His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche Will offer a three-day teaching and training in Madhyamika, from the perspective of the Dzogchen Lineage and the Buddha Path, continuing the topic of His Holiness Dalai Lama’s teachings in Pasadena, on the weekend following His Holiness's visit. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche is the thirty-third holder of the Dzogchen lineage. Rinpoche is also lama of Dzogchen Monastery and a Professor of the Dzogchen Shri Singha University. He has written more than thirty books on the five major sciences. He currently teaches Dharma and gives practice training to thousands of students in more than forty countries around the world. For more info on Rinpoche and the Dzogchen Lineage: http://www.dzogchenlineage.org Teachings Will Be Held At: Friday, April 16th 7-9pm This is an excellent opportunity for those of you who will be attending His Holiness Dalai Lama's teachings to further explore the subtleties of Madhyamika meditation and philosophy.Madhyamika is a Mahayana Buddhist School whose doctrines are based on the notion that all phenomena is fundamentally void of inherent existence. Nagarjuna is considered to be the founder of the tradition, and his "Sixty Stanza's of Reasoning" will be the basis of Rinpoche's teaching. Rinpoche will also be leading Buddha Path group meditations and practice. Suggested donations: $15.00 for Friday night, $30.00 for Saturday, $30.00 for Sunday. Discount for full-time students. These fees help pay for the hall rental. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. The teachings themselves are given freely, but a separate teacher donation after the teachings is traditional.
