Letter from
H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche

Dear Kind-hearted Ones,

I am writing to announce that for the promotion of world peace, for the preservation of the authentic Dzogchen Lineage, and for the unchangeable happiness of all sentient beings, we are establishing a Dzogchen Retreat Center here in the USA.

The Dzogchen Retreat Center Project will be conducted by the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation, and will bring together many of my students in America and around the world.

I rejoice in the efforts of everyone who helps and contributes to this excellent project, and I pledge my full support to see this project through to its successful fruition.

I invite you to contribute and assist the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation to bring the Dzogchen Retreat Center Project to completion. I ask that you please keep this project in mind, tell your friends about it, offer suggestions, and pray for its swift completion. Contributions of any amount are greatly needed and appreciated.

Although all sentient beings are engaged in many activities, whatever they do is done with only one ultimate goal. This goal is true happiness. The purpose of Dzogchen Shri Singha International is to help all senient beings to realize that the nature of their present thinking is the true happiness that they seek. This is the entire intention behind the creation of the Dzogchen Retreat Center USA.

Here in the Western world there are many people interested in Buddhism, but there
are few places to learn and practice Dharma. It is therefore essential that we bring together a qualified teacher and devoted students in a sacred place for authentic teaching and training over an extended period of time.

Due to the lack of a permanent retreat center, many of us miss the opportunity for
intensive learning and training in authentic Dharma. I want as many people as possible to increase positive thinking, which is the cause of happiness, and decrease negative thinking, which is the cause of suffering. We must create this sacred retreat place. This is a means to world peace. This is the most auspicious offering and most profound generosity possible.

In order to complete this holy project, your support and contributions are essential. I
rejoice in your generosity of compassion and wisdom.
